NHS Mortgage Plus is a new mortgage program designed to help individuals and families in Baltimore City become homeowners — whether you’re a first-time buyer or returning to the market. This program offers:
- Fixed-rate mortgages
- No mortgage insurance required
- Homebuyer education & counseling support
- Available to buyers under 80% AMI or those purchasing in a low-to-moderate income tract
- Only for homes in Baltimore City
Who’s Eligible?
- Owner-occupant buyers only
- U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, and eligible residents
- Must meet income and credit qualifications
- Must complete pre-purchase education & counseling
- Buying a 1–4 unit home, condo, townhome, or PUD in Baltimore City
